Birth Doula
I am a DONA trained, WA State Certified Professional Birth Doula. A birth doula is someone who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth.
My desire is to work with you to help create the most positive birth experience possible. I do this by understanding what your personal desires are for your birth experience, give you any information you need when choices need to be made, and support you every step along the way. I am trained to help you cope through contractions, amplify your voice to the medical staff, and so much more.
In addition to doula services, as a professional and experienced birth photographer I am here to capture one of the most monumental days of your life with images you will cherish forever.
PRICING: $2,400
My fee includes:
Continuous support via phone/texting from time of hire until 2 months postpartum
2 in-person prenatal appointments to go over over your birth plan
On call starting at 37 weeks
Continuous labor support on labor day through the first 2 hours postpartum
Physical, emotional, and informational support during labor & delivery
Maternity photography session
Photography coverage during labor through 2 hours postpartum
My doula story
I had an amazing doula at the birth of my son. Knowing there was someone in the room who didn’t work for the hospital, who knew me personally, who was educated and aware of everything going on, and who was able to help me navigate the intense and vulnerable process of birth meant everything to me. Prior to my own birth experience I had already photographed several births and was interested in the idea of becoming a doula. I am a good listener, empathetic, discerning, and an effective communicator. Once I knew the power of having a doula I knew I wanted to become that for other moms.
